Browns gig is last "planned" show this year!

Well this is it... the last gig of the "season" for us. October 14th at Cleveland Browns Stadium we will turn it up for one last time in 2007. We would LOVE to see you all there... it should be a blast. You know how enthusiastic those tailgaters can be!

We are secretly working on some ideas that may have us playing a few times over the winter. So we will keep you posted. We are talking about several ideas, and in a few week when we have our end of season band meeting we will see if we can get some of them into action. So stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, if any of you have suggestions for songs we should add to our set list over the winter, now is the time to speak up. We are going to be talking about that at our meeting too, so if you feel strongly for a song, click on that little pencil at the bottom of this paragraph and leave us a comment. Please review our current song list on our site to make sure we don't already play a song you may suggest.

We love you all.

Our final night at Legacy Village this year

So we finished out our run at Legacy Village over the weekend. We played on a rare Saturday night for us. It was a wonderful evening and the weather was absolutely perfect.
The crowd was a bit of a different one for us at Legacy. We had a group of kids who were really into us a few weeks ago at the Lyndhurst Home Days. They came over to see us at Legacy and really made it a much different vibe. It was a much younger and more energetic crowd than we normally get at Legacy.
Perhaps it was because of Yom Kippur being over the same weekend that the crowd was a bit smaller than normal, but we still had a VERY enthusiastic gang there of a couple hundred people.
Just like I said in the previous post, that makes it all worth while.
I would also like to give a shout out to Susan at Legacy Village for treating us so well and making it feel like home for us. We really love the place. And to Legacy Village's credit, they let the kids have fun and didn't panic that a group of fun loving high school kids had taken over the lawn.
In fact, at the end of the evening, the kids actually CLEANED UP the lawn, picking up random scraps of paper and trash.
So anyway, a big thank you to Legacy Village for another wonderful year and to the kids that love the Beatles' music and seem to love us for playing it! Thanks! It was great!

Last Night at Mentor

We were at the Better in Mentor festival last night and had a GREAT time. Mainly thanks to two fans that made it all worth while for us. We have played to huge crowds in the past. Last year we played to 40,000 at Jacob's Field. But for me, the show last night was far more rewarding in a lot of ways. But mainly because of this young couple that stayed and watched every single note we played. They sang along with every song, yelled and clapped and returned our love, and thanked us over and over again for being there. They were incredible.

If there is any reason to play music besides that, I am having a hard time thinking of it today. Some people play for that allusive moment of fame. Some people play to get chicks (yeah i know), some people play for money. But you know what? It is true. Money can't buy me love.

Last night, we were treated to a lot of love by a small audience that really appreciated what we were trying to do. It doesn't get better than that.

Welcome to the Revolution Pie Blog!

Welcome fans of the Pie.. and more accurately friends of the Beatles!

We decided to start this blog because we get a lot of email from you and were looking for a way to create some two way conversation. So we will try to keep this blog updated to keep you informed about what we are doing and when we are doing it... and feel free to write us, comment on our blog posts, and give us the feedback that helps make Revolution Pie so fun.

In future postings I hope to discuss some of the songs we intend to add over the winter and get your feedback on that. We have also been discussing adding some of the Beatles' solo work... anyone for Maybe I'm Amazed or Cold Turkey?

There is plenty for us to talk about besides that stuff too. So, come back and visit or click on the RSS feed to be updated any time we post something!

Until later!
